Carbon Guide Rod
The carbon guide rod is significantly lighter than a steel one, which greatly reduces hand fatigue during work. The smooth carbon shaft ensures minimal friction and effortless sliding, increasing sharpening accuracy.
After the guide rod and the hinge unit bushing are properly lapped together, no distracting noise will interfere with your work. The only sound you will hear is the sound of abrasive grains removing metal.
Black Matte Coating
Matte black anodizing increases the service life of aluminum parts by creating a wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant surface layer. The technology provides a deep color and a pleasant tactile texture. The coating does not fade over time and protects the metal from aggressive environmental exposure.
Built-in Axicube Shift Angle Finder
One of the abrasive holder stops is equipped with the Axicube Shift electronic angle finder (an updated version of Axicube-i) featuring a special rail mounting.
You can work either with the angle finder installed — securely fixed to the holder using magnets and a fastening screw — or without it, reducing the load on the stone during sharpening. The fixing screw can be installed on either left or right side.
Axicube Shift shows the current sharpening angle with an accuracy of 0.1° and helpts helps to control the sharpening angle in real time and track angle changes, for example, when changing the abrasive.
The bright display makes it easy to understand the readings in any light. The angle finder has a durable aircraft aluminum housing and is resistant to vibrations.
The Axicube Shift has a removable Li-pol battery and charges via a USB - USB Type-C connector. When the battery is low, the device displays “Lo.” upon startup. Charging takes 15–20 minutes at up to 0.5 A and 5 V.
⚠ Attention! Charge the angle gauge upon receipt. Do not allow the battery to fully self-discharge. For uninterrupted operation, monthly charging is required. Store the angle gauge at temperatures not exceeding +27°C.
